Living in Life

Great Nature and life experiences develop us up to a certain point and then leave us to work things out for ourselves. We are often carried along by the stream wherever it takes us and for many of us life is a random and mechanical process.

Our whole organism is very cleverly designed – we are not the ‘result’ of some blind process. But how much do we really know about what we have been given?

What has ordinary education contributed to allow us to understand life’s ebbs and flows?

A simple personal intuition is enough to reveal how little we know about ourselves and our relationship with Great Nature.

To what then can we refer if we want to find another way? What can we do to find a way of living in life which truly reflects value and meaning.

To become ‘awake’ is the first key. But if I become awake now how can I remain so? The answer lies in acquiring knowledge of a specific kind; a knowledge based on ‘self-study’.

‘Self-study’ gives us the opportunity of noticing the state we are in and guides us towards more ‘wakefulness’. The result is a higher state of awareness, which in turn lifts us above the level of mechanical and repetitative patterns. Ordinary circular patterns of life do not challenge us to really grow. What we learn mainly is how to survive turbulence in order to re-establish the comfort zone as soon as possible.

Consciousness provides a new way - an antidote to help struggle against the stream of ordinary life. It can affirm ‘the wish to be here now’
